For a long time, people were unsure whether this was a real collection or a fan-made concept. However, adidas info specialists Yeezy Mafia teased some early images of the collection and basically confirmed the collab a few months ago
Since then, adidas Originals has officially announced the joint collection, followed by an in-depth look at the first two pairs. Courtesy of German-based sneaker store, 43 Einhalb, the lookbook features the ZX 500 RM “Goku” and Yung-1 “Frieza”. Dressed in the exact colours as their animated characters, each model features an instantly recognizable variation. Orange, blue, white and black for the former pair, and off-white and purple for the latter.
The packaging was unveiled by adidas before the actual sneakers were, each featuring a unique thematic design related to the anime. Adding some extra fun to the release, the brand describes that those who are able to collect all seven boxes will reveal a larger singular design.
Planning to release two pairs a month for the next two months, the brand are said to be releasing rumored pairs include the; Prophere “Cell”, Deerupt “Son Gohan” (October), Ultra Tech “Vegeta” and Kamanda “Majin Buu” (November). Some of which have already surfaced unofficially online.
