Dancehall artiste Aidonia has been enjoying one of the most successful summers of his career, and there is more to come as Dancehall Insiders hint at Aidonia working on his first studio album.

Despite releasing ‘Project Sweat’ two years earlier, for which he received an honourable mention from Billboard Magazine and a top ten debut on the iTunes 100 Albums Chart. The ten-track compilation was presented as an EP and not an album. However, this latest body of work will mark the deejay’s official album debut since his emergence on the scene over a decade ago.

Aidonia revealed that he took his time in coming out with an album as he wanted to “deviate from the norm, but still provide an offering that fans and the wider populace will appreciate musically”.

“I want to provide fans with something exceptional that will transcend time and geographic boundaries. I am not a big fan of expendable music, hence I believe as an artiste, it is extremely important to take the time and effort to mould each record on the album in the best way I possibly can,” he said. “If I expect people to buy this, it’s only fair that they receive their money’s worth. I want when someone downloads or puts my album into their player, they can listen to the entire compilation from start to end without having to skip a song because it’s perceived as a subpar effort.”
